GamerTech branding featured on Boston Breach in-game kit alongside continued collaboration with Oxygen’s pro players for advanced product development and player wellness programs.
GamerTech and Oxygen Esports (OXG) are thrilled to announce the renewal and expansion of their partnership for a third year. The partnership will focus on advancing product development to help gamers boost performance, amplify experience and enhance wellness.
In addition to supporting all Oxygen Esports rosters, GamerTech was the presenting partner for February’s Call of Duty League Major II and is now the official in-game kit sponsor for the Boston Breach, unveiled in the most recent game update on March 15th, 2023.
Over the last year, OXG has worked with GamerTech on their soon-to-be-released line of performance wearables and advanced apparel solutions specifically designed for gamers. Together the two companies have conducted successful joint market expansion plans, bespoke educational and awareness content creation, and various other product testing campaigns.
The latest milestone in the partnership was working together to deliver Call of Duty Major II, one of Boston’s biggest esports events of the last decade. The four-day tournament welcomed Call of Duty League teams to the MGM Music Hall at Fenway in Boston in front of sold-out crowds of 3,000 fans a day. The event was the third-most watched Call of Duty event in history, with over 300,000 peak concurrent viewers on matches throughout the weekend.
“Call of Duty League Major II was a weekend to remember, filled with epic moments and intense gameplay. The crowd in Boston lived up to the hype, and we are proud of the role we played in the Breach’s groundbreaking event,” said GamerTech Co-Founder & CEO Amila Pathirana. Expanding our work together signals our commitment to a long-term alliance between GamerTech and OXG, the parent organization of the Boston Breach.”
Signing on as the presenting sponsor was a milestone for GamerTech, but this type of investment is emblematic of GamerTech’s commitment to supporting the growth of competitive gaming. GamerTech aims to connect with the larger gaming community in their quest to helping pro esports athletes and gamers achieve peak performance.
“Major II was one of the most watched events in Call of Duty League history, but that pales in comparison to the energy brought by the sold-out audience at the MGM Music Hall at Fenway,” said Adam Morrison, Co-Founder of Oxygen Esports.
“GamerTech was one of the first partnerships we entered into upon launching Oxygen, and developing that relationship over the past two years has opened many subsequent mutual opportunities for commercial success. Case in point, partnering with GamerTech on Major II and witnessing the event together was one of the most rewarding experiences I have had while working in esports.”
The partnership between GamerTech and OXG Esports is just the latest example of GamerTech’s commitment in providing technology-based apparel and wearable solutions for gamers around the world. GamerTech looks forward to working closely with OXG Esports to drive performance, experience and wellness in gaming.
